Buzz Aldrin divorce. Buzz Aldrin, a member of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon in 1969, has filed for divorce from his third wife, TMZ reported Thursday.The retired astronaut wed Lois Driggs Cannon on Valentine's Day in 1988.

He was previously married to Joan Archer, with whom he had three children, and second wife Beverly Zile.

The 81-year-old cited "irreconcilable differences" in his divorce petition, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court Wednesday.

According to the court documents, the couple separated Tuesday.

The pair has no children together.
