Kate Moss Wedding Has Village On Lockdown

Kate Moss Wedding Has Village On Lockdown

Kate Moss's wedding to the British rocker Jamie Hince has seen the quiet village of Southrop on lockdown with disgruntled residents being stopped at roadblocks and redirected by security staff, reports the UK's Daily Mail. Moss will marry The Kills star in the quaint Cotswolds village later today (1st July 2011).

Locals are facing extensive road closures and footpath blockages, with security manning the supermodel's property and St Peter's Parish Church. A document from the Gloucestershire county council reveals the main road through the small town will be blocked for almost 700 metres. Today's intimate church ceremony will kick off a weekend of events to celebrate the high-profile wedding, with entertainment rumoured to be provided by Iggy Pop, Beth Ditto, Snoop Dogg and Carl Barat. Guests will be treated to Michelin star food by The Dorchester and the Ritz Paris hotels. The happy couple posed for photographers as they arrived for their rehearsal dinner last night, with Hince being accompanied by his close friend Mani, of Primal Scream. 300 guests are expected to attend the weekend's festivities.
Kate Moss has a daughter 'Lila Grace' with the Dazed & Confused editor Jefferson Hack. She became engaged to the controversial rocker Pete Doherty in 2007 but the pair split shortly after.
