Christmas Boot Camp Has begun

Christmas Boot Camp Has begun

Listen up everyone: there are just 24 days left until Christmas. That’s right, 24. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready. Well, I’ve got a plan at least. I’ve written to-do lists. I’ve put daily reminders on our chaotic calendar. There’s even a sticker chart.

The whole family has been briefed, right down to the dog (who’ll reluctantly be wearing a Santa hat for pictures) and baby Mabel (whose impressive thighs will be squeezed into the hand-me-down reindeer tights).  It’s the first day of December and we’re all enrolled in festive boot camp. Our motto? Christmas: Bring. It. On. (to borrow a phrase from The X Factor). And for once I reckon I can handle it.

Toybox Cost £20 Turned Out To Be A Royal Gem

Thea's 19th century brooch features 27 diamonds and a near flawless topaz weighing 20 carats

My daughter, Imogen, four, loved to wear my pretty brooch on the bodice of her Disney Princess dress or tied with a ribbon in her hair. The pretty orangey-pink stone, surrounded by faux diamonds,  sparkled and the gold-coloured setting almost looked real. I had bought it from a junk shop for £20, so I knew it was just flashy old tat. Or so I thought. In a week’s time, this bauble will go on sale at Bonhams fine jewellery sale in London — with a conservative guide price of £3,000 to £4,000. It could fetch much, much more.

1. iPhone

No other product or brand has developed a greater cult following than the iPhone. In 2011, Apple made joining that cult a lot easier. After four years, the obsession has become the year's most searched term on Yahoo!. Apple lowered prices, signed up more carriers, and made the iPhone a world phone.

Justin Bieber denies he fathered child

Justin Bieber has had it pretty easy in his young career. Other than outrunning packs of screaming teenage girls and deciding when is too early to release a Christmas album, the 17-year-old singer hasn't faced many challenges in his rise to the top of the music world. That could be about to change: A woman named Mariah Yeater is claiming that Bieber is the father of her 3-month-old baby boy. Yeater filed legal paperwork demanding that Justin take a paternity test to "scientifically confirm" that he is the father, Radar Online reports, and that she's seeking "adequate support for my baby." It's about to get all Maury Povich up in here.

Photo reveals Kate Middleton's scar

Hair extensions: that was the first assumption gossips made when a recent photo of Kate Middleton revealed a three-inch long mark just above her hairline.

If it were any other celebrity, they probably would have been right. But the low-maintenance duchess had a bigger secret that had nothing to do with beauty. The mark on her head is a scar from a "very serious operation" according to the Daily Mail. St. James Palace officials confirmed Kate's scar was from an operation she had as a child, but wouldn't go into further detail.
