Abdul Sattar Edhi Google Honours Him With Doodle On His Birthday
GOOGLE celebrated philanthropist and humanitarian Abdul Sattar Edhi, who founded the world’s largest volunteer ambulance service, with a special new Doodle on what would have been his 89th birthday.
Known as Pakistan’s “Angel of Mercy”, Edhi made it his life’s mission to help those in need and set up a charity in his own name with the slogan: “Live and help live”.
Abdul Sattar Edhi 28 February 1928 – 8 July 2016 was a Pakistani philanthropist, ascetic, and humanitarian who founded the Edhi Foundation, which runs hospitals, homeless shelters, rehab centres, and orphanages across Pakistan.
