Rachel Uchitel David Boreanaz_ At the beginning of this week, “Bones” and “Angel” star David Boreanaz was forced to go to People magazine with a statement on how he’d been unfaithful to his wife of 9 years, Jaime Bergman. The public admission of guilt came because his former mistress had tried to blackmail him and, soon after that, word got out that woman might be Tiger Woods’ alleged number one mistress Rachel Uchitel.
Though Boreanaz never named the woman who’d tried to extort him, word in the tabloid media had it that she couldn’t but be Uchitel, who’d been romantically linked to the actor before, only days before the Tiger Woods scandal broke. Admittedly, she’d lived off the affair for quite some time and, when David told her she wouldn’t get more money from him, she threatened to go to the tabs and sell her story. In a statement released to TMZ, Uchitel is denying all and any association with David Boreanaz.
Not only that, but she’s never been involved in any way with him, let alone attempt to blackmail him as reports suggest. “David Boreanaz is not part of my life, nor will he be. I am not in communication with him and do not wish to be. I have made no claims against him and do not plan to assert any. Any statements to the contrary are false and I hope that this statement will finally end any speculation about this issue,” Uchitel says in a statement sent to TMZ via her power attorney Gloria Allred.
In the same short statement, Rachel says that, now that the truth is out there, she can at last hope for a life that won’t be filled with scandal and rumors. On a final note, she stresses that this is the first and absolutely last time that she’s talking about a supposed affair with David. “I am looking forward to a life that is not filled with scandal, rumor, innuendo or false statements about me. I will not have any further comment regarding David Boreanaz,” she says.
With Uchitel out of the picture (sorts of), this leaves room for earlier reports saying that there might be another woman preparing to step forward with her story. She is legally repped by Allred as well, it is being said. In the meantime, Boreanaz and his wife have moved past the scandal and are working on saving their marriage.
