Celebrity protesters,A SLEW of celebrities joined the "Occupy Wall Street" protests in New York today, as the demonstrations continued into their fourth week.Hip-hop moguls Russell Simmons and Kanye West took in the sights and sounds of the protests as they strolled through the "Occupy" home-base of Zuccotti Park, in lower Manhattan.
"I just walked @kanyewest thru the#occupywallstreet," Russell Simmons wrote on his Twitter account. "I love how sweet and tolerant he was to the crowd."
Earlier, Reverend Al Sharpton broadcast his nationally syndicated radio show from Zuccotti Park.
Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Mark Ruffalo and Gossip Girl star Penn Badgley have also been spotted at the protests.
The self-proclaimed grassroots "resistance movement" has steadily grown - with participants numbering in the thousands and similar movements sprouting up in cities across the country and around the world.
Large labor unions have thrown their support and resources behind the protests and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said that he will allow protesters to stay indefinitely if they abide by the law.
