Avengers Trailer_‘The Avengers’ Official Trailer Has Arrived_ _ "Avengers, Unite!"And comic book fans: drool!
The first full trailer for Marvel's upcoming epic teamup, "The Avengers," has hit the web, teasing all the action and wit fans are expecting from a superhero-saturated Joss Whedon production.
The fulcrum-to-be of the comic book label's film universe, the movie looks a star-studded romp that puts together some of the highest grossing heroes of the past decade alongside some cameo-making titan who should soon get their own film series, too.Starring Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Cobie Smulders (S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Maria Hill) and Tom Hiddleston (the evil Loki), the film is wrapping up a far-flung production schedule that saw filming in New Mexico, New York City and Cleveland, amongst other places.
In a recent interview, Evans told The Huffington Post that he wasn't sure what to think of the film before shooting began, but he's more than happy with the result.
"Going into it, you're like, who knows? I don't know how this is gonna go," he admitted. "There's a lot of big actors, a lot of big egos, everyone has their own thing going. I can't say enough; it couldn't have gone better. I have high hopes. I hope it's awesome."
Assuring us that the film balanced action and substance, he shouted out Whedon, creator of "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" and fanboy pinup, for his work putting it together.
"It's not easy trying to bring all those characters together and find a story, but the best thing about Joss is that Joss is a fan, Joss is a comic book guy," he said. "It feels so nice working with a guy that is well, the people I am trying to please is Joss. Joss is one of those dudes. And if Joss is happy with the dialog, if Joss is happy with the wardrobe, if Joss is happy, then I'm happy. Because he's Comic-Con, he's one of these dudes who would be in the audience geeking out, so if he's happy, I'm happy."
